A world famous macro lovers paradise, the 1,526ft (465m) Frederiksted Pier is a favorite among photographers so don’t forget your camera. With an average depth of 25ft (7.6m) the far end reaches a total depth of 90ft (27.4m). As you weave between it’s colorful posts encrusted in sponges and coral, you will meet seahorses, frogfish, Hawksbill, Green Turtles and more. Spot Southern Stingrays and hidden treasures such as Scorpion Fish in the sand that surrounds the pier. Get a good feel for areas you might like to explore further in the dark because we are in for a double dip for those interested in a magical night dive. First we will refuel with refreshments and appetizers aboard CruiseNautic, as we watch the sunset we will kit up for our night dive. Dive in for a dance with the octopus, lobsters, eels and large schools of Tarpon for one of the best night dives in the Virgin Islands. You might love it so much you may ask to do it twice, which can definitely be arranged. Post dives we will nosh on a delicious dinner aboard CruiseNautic swapping dive stories.

Day 2

Wake up refreshed from your z’s afloat and ready to seize another day of dive adventures. Today we will enjoy a relaxing breakfast sail to Butler Bay where wreck junkies can get their fix. On the agenda are six wrecks, one artificial reef and lunch served afloat. With a full day before us, you can choose to do all three dives or relax aboard CruiseNautic for a break in the dive day.

The Deep Wrecks feature two wrecks in one dive. The Rosa Maria, a 177ft (54m) steel freighter in 70-110ft (21-33.5m) and The Coakley Bay, an oil refinery tug boat in 55-70ft (16.8-21.3m). Encrusted in live coral, surrounded in fish, this dive was voted one of the Best Caribbean Dive Sites by USA Today. The Shallow Wrecks is a fascinating wreck dive for all skill levels and features: a NorthSea Trawler (Suffolk Maid); a tugboat (Northwind); a massive oil barge (Virgin Islander); NOAA’s HydroLab (Aegir), which was decommissioned in 1985; and the remains of several Hess Oil Trucks. With it’s wheelhouse starting at 20ft (6m)β€², The Northwind Tugboat is a photographer’s favorite and was used in the TV movie β€œDreams of Gold β€” The Mel Fisher Story”. For those hoping to visit our reef shark friends, a dive on Armageddon is a must. Here the remains of the original Frederiksted Pier, destroyed by Hurrican Hugo in 1989, were gathered and dropped in 60-100ft (18.3-30.5m) of water creating the perfect artificial reef for shark encounters.

At the end of your dives we will sail back to Frederiksted where you can enjoy a dinner off the boat. Try some of our local favorites such as The Fred or The Lost Dog Pub.

Today our breakfast sail is off the white sands of the Sandy Point National Wildlife Refuge, a critical nesting habitat for the endangered Leatherback Sea Turtle. Cruising these waters you just might get to meet one of these amazing turtles and the clear waters that surround this area boast some memorable dive sites with options for every skill level. The early bird gets the bragging rights on the best sights of the day, so we will dive in on two morning dives.

Dive into all the colors of Aquarium and meet our Nurseshark pal, explore the sloping reef of Tide Bottle to party with the moray eels and lobsters, or take the plunge into an Alien Nation on a reef that takes you on a colorful journey down to 110ft (33.5m). Buddy up with Hawksbill Turtles, spotted drums, trumpetfish, trunkfish, cowfish and angelfish, you might even see the majestic Spotted Eagle Ray.

Once you have wrapped your hang with the turtles, you can enjoy lunch onshore. Continue the theme of the day and head to Turtle’s Deli or catch a view of your dive home from above at Louie and Nacho’s Beach Bar. Be sure to remember your mom’s advice and take that thirty minutes before we dive in for our third dive of the day. Choose from another amazing site to wrap your dive day, followed by all the colors of sunset afloat served up with dinner and open bar.

Be one of the few to own bragging rights on this unique site as it is not often visited by other dive groups. Built to raise and lower submarines out of the water, the Submarine Barge is complete with a submarine cradle and boasts a wealth of ballast tanks, pipes, giant fenders, massive cables and some of the perfect hiding spots for Nurse sharks and the occasional Goliath Grouper. After our dive, enjoy lunch and beach games onshore at Rhythms at Rainbow Beach followed by a second dive on the group’s choice of Spanish Anchor, Rainbow Reef or Spratt Hall dive sites with an option for a night dive before a delicious dinner onshore.

Day 5

Wake to an early morning dive of your choice, followed by a breakfast sail exploring the spectacular views of the North Shore. Keep your eye out for Humpback whales as we sail over the Puerto Rico Trench and onto ‘The Wall’ dive site. Dropping to an epic 3200ft (975m) just off of St Croix’s North shore, this is a must for the bucket list. Boasting expansive views of black coral and elk horn coral, the marine life here does not disappoint. Find yourself surrounded in schools of black durgon, tangs and damsels. Spot reef sharks, stingrays, sea turtles, barracuda, parrot fish, angelfish and trumpetfish. If you are one of the lucky ones, you might even spot a rare manta ray, hammerhead shark, whale shark, or playful pod of dolphins. Oh and don’t miss the rodeo with a ride on ‘The Wall’s’ very own carousel horse.
