In this quick, easy introduction to diving you will learn the basics and experience a dive under the supervision of our experienced PADI dive pros. This is the perfect way to give diving a try without committing to a certification course.

Diver Prerequisites.

Beginner.
No previous certifications required.
Ability to swim.
Minimum age is 14.

What to Expect?

We will begin our experience by reviewing scuba safety guidelines, scuba equipment, key skills and tips for efficiently using your equipment underwater. Next we will practice key skills in shallow water, including experiencing some of your first breaths underwater. Once mastering the key skills in shallow water, you will have the option to participate in a full dive experience at one of our favorite dive sites. All Discover Scuba experiences are under the direct supervision of our PADI pro instructor, Kate.

What to Expect?

The PADI Open Water Diver course includes three sections. Kick your experience off before heading on vacation by completing your Knowledge Development via PADI Open Water eLearning online at your leisure. This section covers basic dive principles, concepts and terms that are an important base for your dive adventures. Next you will get to learn and practice the basics of scuba in confined water dives. No pools here, we have several calm bays that you will get to enjoy for this section of learning. As a final step you will experience four open water dives on some amazing sites where you will apply everything you have learned.

Earning your PADI Open Water Diver certification gives you an internationally recognized badge that gives you the “in” on renting scuba equipment, filling scuba cylinders, booking dive excursions (up to a 60′ max) and more.

What to Expect?

The PADI Advanced Open Water course covers two sections, an eLearning section which can be completed at home prior to your vacation and five adventure dives. Your adventure dives consist of a deep dive (beyond 18m/60F), a navigation dive, and three additional Adventure Dives of your choice to earn your certification.

Please connect with us prior to beginning your eLearning. We will provide you with aa full list of advanced courses offered as well as any desired advice in selecting your three adventure dive topics. We strongly suggest including Peak Performance Buoyancy in these options as it is a skill that is crucial in every dive. You will then want to complete the following eLearning sections; General Introductions, Thinking Like a Diver, Navigation, Deep and your three selected adventure dive topics.

When you arrive in the islands, we will confirm all online assessments are completed and cover a brief review on all materials as well as any questions. We are then off to enjoy your five adventure dives at some of our top dive sites in paradise.

Been a while since you’ve been diving? Our PADI ReActivate program offers a quick way to update your dive knowledge and review your scuba skills. This program covers both basic and in depth reviews of important scuba principles and procedures.

(Or Proof of Entry-Level Diver Certification from Another Training Organization with Four Open Water Dives.)

The ReActivate program consists of two sections, the ReActivate eLearning which includes a Knowledge Review that you can complete at your leisure online and a dive skills refresher which we will complete in a calm bay for our confined water session. After successfully completing both components, a recreational dive is included along with the option to add additional fun dives at some of our top dive sites to apply your refreshed skills.

After successfully completing both sections, you will receive a a replacement certification card showing a “ReActivated Thru” date. Divers initially certified through other training organizations (with proof of at least an entry-level certification) receive ReActivate Recognition Cards.

Topics covered are dive injuries, different types of emergency oxygen equipment and safety considerations when using oxygen. You will also get hands on experience assembling/disassembling emergency oxygen equipment, deploying a non-rebreather mask and demand inhalator valve on a breathing diver and using a pocket mask on a nonbreathing diver.
